Fallout 4's laser weapons are not projectile weapons like the ones in Star Wars, and are also very hyper-realistic and a lot closer to modern day laser weapons (Yes they exist and work, Google em) while Star Wars goes the route of what people like. They're nowhere near the same conceptually and scientifically.
Fallout 4's laser weapons are not apples and oranges at all they're not fruit. They're kewler, beyond Fallout 4 in terms of futurism by far.
